Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Notepad mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App on Android. It is written to align with Google Play Developer Program policies, Google Play’s User Data requirements, and advertising disclosures for apps that use Google AdMob.
1. Who we are
The App is published as Notepad for Android (package com.notepad.glass.nine).

2. Information we process
2.1 Information stored on your device (local only)
The App stores the following locally (for example using on-device database / preferences) so core features work without uploading your notes to a developer account server:
- Note content you create (titles, body text, checklists, labels/tags, colors, pin/favorite/archive/trash state)
- Optional note lock flags; biometric unlock is handled by the Android biometric system on your device
- Reminders or related note metadata you set in the App (if available)
- Display and app preferences (theme, dynamic color, list/grid view, sort, animation intensity, onboarding completion)
- Cached remote ad configuration values needed to initialize ads reliably
Important: Note content you type is intended to remain on your device unless you choose to share a note, open an external link, or use an OS backup/sync feature outside our control. We do not operate a personal cloud notes account for this App.
2.2 Automatically collected / third-party technical data
When the App has network access, Google services may process device and usage data as described in their policies, including:
- Device identifiers and advertising identifiers (for ads measurement/personalization subject to your device settings)
- IP address, approximate network information, and device/app diagnostics
- Crash logs and related diagnostics
- Analytics events about App usage (when analytics collection is enabled)
- Ad impressions, clicks, and related advertising events
3. Android permissions and why we use them
The App requests only permissions needed for its features:
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — load ads, Firebase configuration, analytics/crash services, and open linked URLs.
- USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT — unlock notes you choose to lock, when biometrics are available on your device.
- AD_ID / related advertising ID permissions (where provided by the OS or Play services) — support personalized or non-personalized ads via AdMob, subject to your device and regional settings.
Some libraries may declare additional technical permissions (for example WAKE_LOCK) for Google Play services / measurement. The App does not use foreground services and does not request FOREGROUND_SERVICE or typed foreground-service permissions. The App also does not request access to contacts, SMS, call logs, precise location GPS, microphone, camera, photos/media library, or body sensors for its own notepad features.
4. How we use information
- Provide notepad features such as notes, checklists, search, favorites, archive, trash, labels, themes, and locked notes
- Show advertisements (banner, interstitial, app open, native) and related fallback creatives
- Retrieve remote ad configuration (for example ad unit IDs and legal page URLs) via Firebase Realtime Database
- Measure stability (Crashlytics) and understand aggregate usage (Analytics), when enabled
- Comply with law and Google Play policy requirements
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays ads using Google AdMob (and may open advertiser or website URLs in an in-app WebView or external browser). Ads help keep the App available. AdMob and its partners may collect and process data such as advertising ID, IP address, device information, and interaction with ads to provide, personalize, measure, and combat fraud in advertising.

If a native ad fails to load, the App may show a fallback promotional card configured remotely (title, description, image, icon, button text, and URL). Tapping it may open an external link.
6. Firebase / Google services
We use Google Firebase / Google Play services, which may process data under Google’s terms and privacy policy:
- Firebase Analytics — app usage analytics (when collection is enabled)
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting and diagnostics (when collection is enabled)
- Firebase Realtime Database — remote configuration for advertising identifiers/URLs and related non-personal app configuration (not used as a personal notes cloud or user profile store)
7. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by:
- Google LLC and affiliates (AdMob, Play services, Firebase) as independent controllers/processors under their policies
- Advertising partners participating in AdMob demand, as disclosed by Google
- Authorities when required by law
8. Data retention
- On-device App data (including notes): retained until you delete notes in-App, clear App storage, or uninstall the App.
- Google / Firebase / AdMob logs: retained according to Google’s retention practices.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a consumer notepad app (OS sandboxing, limited permissions, encrypted transport for Google service endpoints). Locked notes rely on your device’s biometric / screen-lock capabilities where available. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Keep device unlock protection enabled and do not store secrets you cannot afford to lose without a separate backup.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through third-party services linked to the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Do not designate the App as primarily child-directed unless you fully comply with Play Families policies and AdMob child-directed settings.
11. Your choices and rights
- Delete individual notes, empty Trash, or clear App storage / uninstall to remove local data
- Deny biometric permission (locked-note unlock may be limited)
- Reset/delete advertising ID and limit ad personalization in device/Google settings
- Depending on your region (for example EEA/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data held by service providers — contact us and/or Google using their privacy tools
12. International processing
Google may process data on servers outside your country. By using the App, you understand that such transfers may occur subject to Google’s safeguards and applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect App changes or legal/policy requirements. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
14. Google Play Data safety (disclosure aid)
For Play Console Data safety form alignment (verify against your live build before submission):
- Collected / shared via third parties: Device or other IDs; App interactions / diagnostics / crash logs; Advertising data (through Google AdMob / Firebase)
- Not collected by us as a cloud notes service: Note content is stored on-device for App functionality
- Purposes: App functionality, analytics, advertising or marketing, fraud prevention/security, diagnostics
- Account creation: Not required by the App
- Encryption in transit: Yes for Google service endpoints
- Users can request deletion: Local data via in-App delete / uninstall / clear storage; third-party data via Google privacy tools / your support contact
